This page explains what we store on your device and lets you switch off the part that is optional. There is no cookie pop-up on this site, because we do not run advertising or tracking cookies — only the two categories below.
Usage analytics
Counts which pages and features get used, so we know what to improve. Switch it off and we stop counting you straight away — here and in the Abodient app.
Strictly necessary — always on
These make the site and app work. They cannot be switched off, and the law does not require your consent for them.
- Keeping you signed in, and keeping your session secure (Supabase)
- Remembering the analytics choice you make on this page
- Letting the app work offline, via the service worker
Usage analytics — on by default, switchable above
We use Google Analytics 4 and PostHog to understand how the site and app are used — which pages people visit, which features get used, where things break. We use it only to work out what to build and fix.
We do not use it to advertise to you, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it or pass it to anyone else for their own purposes. PostHog data is held in the EU. We do not record your screen.
UK rules let us run analytics like this without asking permission first, provided it is only used to improve the service, is not shared onward, and you can object at any time. The switch above is that objection, and it takes effect immediately.
What we do not use
No advertising cookies, no remarketing pixels, no tracking across other websites, and no selling of your data. If that ever changes we will ask for your consent first, and this page will say so before it does.
Your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and we honour your browser's "Do Not Track" setting. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop you being able to sign in.
