Use Abodient from Claude

What it is

Claude is Anthropic's AI assistant. With the Abodient connector, your Claude can read your portfolio and record things in it, with your say-so, from wherever you are using Claude: the Claude app on your phone, the desktop app, or claude.ai.

It is your account's data only. Claude sees what you would see signed in, and nothing of anyone else's.

Connecting

1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
2. Name it Abodient and enter the address https://api.abodient.ai/mcp. Save.
3. Press Connect. Abodient opens and asks you to sign in if you are not already, then shows what Claude will be able to do. Press Allow.
4. Start a new chat and ask away. Try "Which of my properties has a certificate expiring in the next 60 days?"

You can disconnect at any time, in Claude (the connector's page) or in Abodient under Settings → Integrations → Claude, which also lists everything Claude has done.

What Claude can do

Read anything you can see. Properties, tenancies and tenants, compliance duties and certificates, rent position and arrears, income and expenses, the tax estimate, maintenance issues and their job, tasks and the Inbox, contacts, documents (including the text of a filed PDF), buildings and service charge, inspections, agreements, the keys register, the activity feed, and your account's plan and settings.

Record things, each one shown to you first. Before every change Claude shows you exactly what it is about to record and waits for you to allow it. Today that covers: transactions and recurring costs; tasks and Inbox rows; compliance records; starting, changing and ending a tenancy and adding a tenant by name; issues, their contractor, visit date, access notes, notes and costs; contacts; property details including the compliance questions; rooms; commercial lease terms; buildings' units, costs and service charge; and drafting a message to your tenant, which waits in Tenant chat for you to send.

Every change goes through the same rules as the screen, so ownership, team roles and the accounting sync all apply as usual.

What stays in the app

Claude never contacts a person on your behalf. Inviting a tenant, serving a notice, chasing rent, sending a job to a contractor, e-signing and the information sheet are all done in Abodient, and when you ask for one of those Claude tells you so and gives you the link to the right screen. Uploading documents, billing and account settings are also done in the app.

If you ask Claude to send something another way, through your own email for example, it will do what you ask but that message is not recorded in Abodient.

Your data

The connector uses the same sign-in as the app. Claude receives only what it asks for in each conversation, and Anthropic's handling of that conversation is governed by your Claude plan. Abodient keeps a record of every tool Claude used, which you can see under Settings → Integrations → Claude. Our privacy policy covers the rest.
