Rent status and arrears
See who has paid, who is behind, and by how much, across your whole portfolio.
On the Finance page, click Rent status. It answers one question across your whole portfolio: who has paid, who is behind, and by how much. The picture above shows it.
Reading it
The figure at the top is the total outstanding and how many properties it spans — and, tellingly, how many have never been chased.
Below, Behind on rent lists each one, longest overdue first, with:
- how late it is (18 days late, 5 days late),
- the tenant, and whether they have been chased,
- the amount owed.
A room-let shows as 5 rooms behind rather than one figure, so you can see it is several tenancies, not one.
What to do with it
Click any property to open its own Rent status, where you record a payment or send a reminder. Sorting by longest-outstanding puts the arrears that matter most at the top.
If something looks wrong
- A property you think has paid? Open it and check the payment was marked received — the list counts what is recorded, not what has landed in your bank.
- Nothing outstanding but you expected some? Rent tracking starts from the date recorded on the tenancy; anything before that is not counted as missed.
