Where your income, costs and profit live, and what each figure counts.
Open Finance from the left menu. It adds every property together — what your portfolio earns, what it costs, what it is worth — and every transaction behind those figures. The picture above shows it.
Reading it
Net cashflow is income minus expenses for the period, with Cashflow / Operating / After tax views beneath it and the by-month chart beside it.
Portfolio value and gross yield sit top right — value totals what you have entered, yield is the year's rent against it. A building counts once, in place of its flats.
Where the money went breaks your costs down, and every payment is listed below, so no headline figure is one you cannot trace.
The period, and the tools
The pills — This month, Year to date, 12 months, All time — set the window.
Along the top sit Rent status (who has paid), Import / export, and Connect Xero.
Everything on a property's own Finance tab rolls up here as you record it; there is no overnight job.
If a figure looks off
Portfolio value low? It only counts properties you have given a value. Add values on each property's Finance tab.
A cost in the wrong place? Open the transaction and recategorise it — the category, not the amount, is what changes your tax figure.
