What the building is, what is in it, and what it still needs from you.
A building's Overview is the first tab you see when you open a building from Properties. Its money and paperwork sit in four cards along the top, and its Activity board sits below them.
The cards along the top
Each card shows one figure. Select it to open the tab behind it.
Service charge shows what is in the account and how many flats are behind, with Your fees under it. See The Service charge tab. On a building you own and let yourself, this card is Rent roll.
Communal costs shows what the shared parts of the building have cost.
Compliance shows how many of the building's own duties are covered. See The Compliance tab.
Block details shows how many of the building's questions you have answered. The answers decide which duties apply, so it is the place to start on a new building.
The Activity board
Type in the box at the top, then select Post, to tell everyone in the block something. Leaseholders' posts appear below, newest first. Under each post you can write a comment, select Link to an issue or select Remove post. The picture button beside Comment adds a photo or video.
Posts that leaseholders send to their neighbours only do not reach you. Your leaseholders see your posts on their Home. See The leaseholder portal.
Private messages, top right, opens the Messages tab, for one-to-one conversations. It appears once the building has leaseholders' flats.
The four cards beside it
Leaseholders – units opens the list of flats. Select a flat to see who holds it, what they owe and what is open on it. Add units adds more. See Adding units to a building.
Section 20 opens the Section 20 tab, where you consult leaseholders before big spending. It appears only on buildings where Section 20 applies.
Managers lists everyone who manages the building, with their role. Select + Add a colleague, type their Name and Email, choose their Role on the building and select Send invitation. They get an email, and they see every property on your account.
The three dots beside Private messages rename the block (Rename this block), set who owns it (Set ownership) or remove it (Delete this block). The properties inside it stay as they are.
On your phone
The bar along the bottom has Overview, Service charge, Maintenance, Messages and More. More holds Compliance, Documents and Section 20. The cards sit two to a row, with the Activity board and the four cards beside it underneath. On the Service charge tab, the buttons along the top are in one Actions menu.
If something's not right
A dash on a card? The building is not set up for it yet. Answer the questions under Block details, and set up the charge on the Service charge tab.
No Section 20 card? It appears once your Block details answers make Section 20 apply.
No Private messages button? The building has no leaseholders' flats yet.
